Research
I defined the goals of the research, planned and built it, trained the people running it, analysed the data and drew the conclusions. The main objective: uncover the challenges and needs behind women’s disengagement from long-term financial decisions.
- Method
- A qualitative study, to go deep into individual experiences.
- Consistency
- A template, guidelines and a structured questionnaire so data collection stayed methodical and unbiased.
- Team
- I guided two research partners, with an emphasis on thorough documentation.
- Analysis
- Findings grouped into common pain points and themes, with outliers and extreme cases captured separately through a “heart node” system.

Journey, structure and mentorship
We ran a user journey exercise to understand the challenges women face in household economic decisions, capturing both emotional and practical experience. I mentored a fellow designer through it, and later through the information architecture, giving feedback and running the discussions that refined the structure.

Wireframes and design
I built the initial wireframes, which became the foundation for the screen designs a designer created under my guidance. I also coached her on working with developers and adapting designs during development. The final designs are a collaboration between us.
